SIVAL 2022: Ortomec welcomes the future of agricultural production
After a long period of physical distance – also with regard to trade fairs – 2022 opens with a new and important event dedicated to agriculture: SIVAL.
The event will be held in Angers, France, from 15 to 17 March 2022: three days entirely dedicated to discovering the latest news in the agricultural sector. All the most important stakeholders of the department will be present, gathered in a fair which, after more than a year of stoppage, is ready to start again in a great way.

SIVAL: a meeting point on the theme of vegetable agriculture
Year after year, SIVAL reconfirms itself as one of the most important appointments for professionals in the world of agriculture. More than thirty years after the first edition, Angers continues to be the chosen territory to host the fair: an area of excellence for what concerns vegetable production.
In fact, plant production has been Angers’ specialty for nearly two centuries. In the city you can find:
- 450 experts – including researchers, engineers and technicians – committed to bringing innovation to this production sector
- 2,500 students placed in the main training center in France dedicated to plant production
- 5,000 workers involved in plant production
Furthermore, for years the SIVAL fair has been promoting internationalization. Each edition hosts over 1,200 foreign visitors – from well over 55 different countries – while the percentage of foreign exhibitors exceeds 10% of the total. Suffice it to say that the latest edition – held in January 2020 – saw the participation of foreign delegations from the Ivory Coast, Russia and even Kazakhstan.
Not just internalization: the real beating heart of SIVAL is given by innovation. In fact, the fair is an opportunity to participate in significant moments of exchange aimed at bringing value to all exhibiting companies and the solutions they present. Over the years, the Anger Exhibition Center has seen the passage of dozens of interventions aimed at emphasizing the incredible evolution that the entire sector is experiencing. For the next edition – scheduled for 2022 – there will be about 140 speakers who, in the course of seminars, will illustrate the most innovative products of the agricultural sector.
